I'd like to invite you to a Christmas 'do' on 29th December. In the spirit of trying out new things, I've arranged for it to be at a sports club (between 25 and 27 Brayfield Road, Littleover). It's comfortable, it has a bar, a music license, ample free parking and can accommodate up to 50 people.
I think it would be nice if a few people did turns -- and not necessarily with just ukuleles. Come and play whatever you like.
My daughter and son-in-law will be joining us to do a little half-hour set with guitars and ukes. They are pretty good. They will bring a little PA so if anyone would like to use that, they can. Some people met my daughter when we had a Christmas do in Mr Grundy's Pub a few years back.
I'm also going to invite members of the tennis club to join us for a sing along. It will make for a festive and cheery event, I think. I'm a member of the tennis club so I know the people.
I'm going to organise a few snacks and imagine it will go on from 7.00 until 10.00 pm so as to fit in plenty of sing-along time, time for turns and also to eat and mingle.
Let me know if you can make it. I hope you can. As always, relatives and friends are very welcome.
Normally we pay £1 at the Tap. I'll be asking for £3 for the Christmas do to cover the cost of the room and raise a bit of money for the sports club (they are always very hard up).
I've set up an event page where you and the tennis club people can reserve a place. Of course you can just turn up but it will help me to know what sort of numbers I can expect and it will let you know if it is getting full.

IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE CLUB FOR A WHILE, WE'D LOVE TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
Best wishes
